america NOW! was spawned from the turmoil of the 2022 mid-term elections. The bombardment of misleading political rhetoric threatens democracy and delegitimizes our political process. I wanted to make accurate, non-partisan information easily available to the public. Taking it to the streets and making it work within the environment makes it convenient and approachable for users.

Skills: Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma

I wanted these kiosks to fit within the environment without being disruptive. Even though the point of these kiosks is to be noticed, I didn’t want them to feel out of place. I used a brick background with a medium blue to dark blue gradient over top to match an urban landscape while still bringing attention to itself through the bright text and buttons.

User flow was a major consideration for this project and the layout of my Figma file helped keep that in focus. Furthermore, the use of components not only helped unify the look and feel of the interface, but it also helped make the prototyping process more efficient.

personas

I wanted to make sure that I considered the widest variety of voters as possible. Here we have an independent voter who votes on a candidate-by-candidate basis, a first-time voter who doesn’t know where to begin choosing a candidate, and politically interested voter who is not yet of legal voting age. Each persona was highly influential in the design and keeping them top-of-mind was essential.
