digital contest
The Snooperbowl Sweepstakes is an online contest where contestants film themselves showing off their best touchdown dances for their chance to win a 1st class trip to watch the Super Bowl with Snoop Dogg in his luxury box. I wanted to give a vintage feel to a very modern activity (pulling from old sports cards and highlight reels) – posting dance videos to social media.
Skills: Concepting, Photoshop, After Effects, Figma

The Snooperbowl Sweepstakes is all about energy. I wanted to bring a lot of movement to the landing page. Using greyscale images can slow down a design, so it was important to choose imagery that had a lot of personality and action.

Given the energetic feel of this project, I wanted the social media post to have a lot of quick movements and eye catching visuals. The average time that a social media user spends on each post is incredibly low, so it was essential to be a little ‘in your face’ from the beginning.

Doing the research for this project was a lot of fun. I looked through hundreds of old football and baseball cards to develop the double-lined border that you see throughout the visuals. There was a lovable quirkiness that was a common thread throughout a lot of the 50’s/60’s material I found. Knowing what I know about Snoop Dogg, I wanted to incorporate that playfulness into my design.
